The
Saga Prefectural Government has revised its “Nuclear Disaster Prevention
Handbook” in order to further basic knowledge in regard to nuclear emergency
preparedness.
The aim of this handbook is to give the citizens of Saga
Prefecture basic knowledge about radiation and nuclear power, and also to explain
nuclear disaster prevention measures in easy-to-understand language.
Included
with the handbook is an insert explaining the importance of taking refuge
indoors. Please remove this insert and hang it on your refrigerator or anywhere
else that will allow you to reference it easily.
For
those residing in the Nuclear Disaster Preparedness Priority Zones of Genkai Town,
Karatsu City, and Imari City, also refer to your city or town’s website for
more information on where those in your region are expected to evacuate.
