Facility Guide

Our facilities include a public lounge and library space, meeting rooms that may be used for various cultural exchange activities, a cooking classroom, and a consultation office where we provide information and advice to foreign and Japanese residents.

Lounge Area

1.Reception Desk

Please feel welcome to ask a staff member about using the Saga International Plaza.

If you are visiting the International Economy and Affairs Division, SPIRA, or the JICA Desk, please let the reception staff know and they will point you in the right direction.

2. Library Space

We have a collection of books and materials on different cultures and languages, countries, and international relations.

You may borrow our library materials with a valid library account.Saga Prefecture residents, as well as commuters to Saga Prefecture for work or school and members of the Saga Prefecture International Relations Associations can create a library account.

Members may have up to 3 items on loan for 2 weeks.

Please ask at the reception for details.

3.Lounge Space

4.Kids’ Space

The Kids’ Space has foreign language children’s books for our family users.

5.Multi-purpose Table Space

This area may be used for meetings or small study groups, or simply reading in peace.

Occasionally we also have various exhibits on display.

We offer consultations on daily life matters for foreign residents.

For more information, please contact SPIRA (Saga Prefecture International Relations Association), also located in the International Plaza.

Rental Facilities

7.Rental Facilities (Meeting Room A & B, Cooking Classroom)

The meeting rooms may be used for various seminars and events. (Rental fees may apply)

Notice

1. Smoking and the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises.

2. Fire and dangerous materials are prohibited on the premises.

3. Please refrain from eating in the lounge area. (Snacks included)

4. Please take home any personal trash.

5. In the case of damages to the facility or equipment, we will ask for compensation.

6. Sometimes a part of or all of the facility may be unavailable for use due to events or projects held by the Prefecture or SPIRA.

7. While the lounge may be used by anyone, please be mindful of others and refrain from inconsiderate or troublesome behavior.

8. Please follow these and other guidelines set by the management.
