The Saga Prefecture International Relations Association
is responsible for the following activities:the activities of the Saga Prefecture International Relations Association
in 2003 fiscal year will be informed through the newsletters, "Hello
Saga." This newsletter will be sent the supporting members.

Sending lecturers to provide lectures on international awareness
Should local assemblies, businesses or international exchange organizations wish
to hold lectures to promote international exchange and awareness we are able to
provide lecturers.
- Promotion of exchange for locals
with foreign residents
To deepen the exchange with Saga citizens and foreign residents, we assist
with Cooking Exchanges, Sports Exchanges etc.
- Japanese Courses
We hold this course for foreign residents of Saga Prefecture who cannot speak
Japanese and hence have problems or difficulties living in Japan.
- Publication of English, Chinese,
and Korean language guidebooks about daily life in Saga
Also for foreign residents we publish the information booklet, "Life
Saver" and provide consultation on daily life in Saga.
- Publication of "An Index of
Foreign Language Consultation" for medical facilities
For international residents, we publish a handbook that contains information of
doctors with whom medical examinations in foreign languages are possible.
- Volunteer registration system for international exchange
To support foreign people's activities in Saga we manage a volunteer
registration system for language support, host family systems, etc.

- Counseling for foreign residents
We provide counseling for foreign residents who have problems or worries concerning their life in Saga.
